Boat Parade

On the behalf of the Lake Springfield Association & Council of Lake Springfield Clubs, we are excited to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday together with a Boat Parade on Sunday, July 5th!

Schedule of Events:

  • 11:00am – Cocktail Contest at Anchor Boat Club (judged on appearance. garnish, & taste)
  • 11:30am – Stage Program in front of Anchor Boat Club
  • 12:00pm – Boat Parade Begins
  • Around 1:30pm – Parade concludes at Lincoln Memorial Gardens
  • Until 3:00pm – Tie up for fellowship, fun and friends!

Show off your patriotic spirit by decorating your boat in red, white, and blue as we celebrate 250 years of FREEDOM! The more festive, the better!

Don’t have a decorated boat? No problem, all boats are welcome to join the parade!

Best viewing locations include:

  • Lindsey Bridge area
  • Beach House
  • Marine Point

We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on the water. See you there!

Lake Council Chili Challenge

The Lake Council 2026 Chili Challenge concluded on Sunday, March 1st with the FINALS hosted at the Prop Club! The Anchor Boat Club was represented by Damon Cozadd and Jason Smith. We are proud to announce Damon placed 2nd in the Judges category! Congrats to both our club participants! Thanks so much to everyone who came and helped represent the club.

Stone Cold Curlin’ Tournament

Curling returns to Anchor this Saturday!

Dress warmly and meet us by the boat launch at 11:30 to sign up. Matches start at noon in a double elimination tournament. Prefer teams of four but we will be happy to put you on a team or find an extra player for yours. Always a great time and everyone is welcome. Open to the public!

Fish Fries

The Fish Fries are on for this year!!! Another great ABC tradition!

The Fish Fries are typically our last events to get your hours in before the end of the membership year. If you are interested in working during the Fish Fries, a link was sent out to members via text & email to register online for open shifts.

If you did not receive the link to register for Fish Fry shifts OR have any questions, please contact Devin at 217-691-1116.

GALENTINE’S DAY / BOURBON NIGHT

MEMBERS ONLY: We are having a Galentine’s Day Party for the ladies and a Bourbon Night for the guys!

The event will be held at the Anchor Boat Club from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Saturday, February 14th. Dinner will consist of surf & turf, potato, vegetable, salad, and a dessert. Unlimited drinks with 2 signature martinis during party hours.

$40 per person, due no later than Sunday February 8th! Please sign up behind the bar and place money in an envelope with names of attendees (and address to ATTN: Stacie Power) and place it in the safe.
