SUMMARY:Kids Fishing Tourney
DESCRIPTION:The annual Kids’ Fishing Derby is sponsored by Anchor Boat Club for member’s children and grandchildren. \nThe event is scheduled for Saturday\, June 17th. Start time is 8:00am and continues until 11:00am…at which time Hot Dogs\, Chips\, and a Soda will be served for lunch. Immediately following lunch\, the prize giveaways will be presented. \nThis event is open to all youngsters age 15 and under. There is a limit of one fishing pole per child. Participants can bring their own bait or worms will be provided. Each child must provide his or her own fishing pole and tackle. Small children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children may be assisted by an adult\, however\, children should do their own fishing as much as possible. This event is not for adults. \nChildren will compete for prizes for the biggest fish (caught in inches). Children not finishing in the top 2 spots of their age group will receive a gift of their choosing from a prize table via a drawing. \nThis event is being conducted during Illinois free fishing days but all state and lake fishing regulations must be followed. \nPlease RSVP by June 10th with the child’s name(s) and age(s) via text to Darrell Marcy at 217-971-6302.
